William (Amir) was involved in many healing-related programs while he was incarcerated. He was a member of Kid CAT (Creating Awareness Together), Restorative Justice, and Criminal Gangs Anonymous and was a facilitator and mentor for the Diabetic Class in San Quentin. Bonafide met Amir at the gate when he was paroled in 2018, and now he is a welcome driver for Bonafide. He is a welcome driver because he likes to encourage people and let them know that they can be successful even though they have been incarcerated.
